Life Skills 2: Beating Tuberculosis
TB is curable and preventable, yet 15 000 South Africans die of it every year! This does not only affect your staff and their communities but your business as well.
Equipping your staff with the knowledge to recognise the symptoms of this disease, types of treatment and how to support people with TB in the community will help curb the spread of tuberculosis and enable those affected to remain productive.
We discuss the disease and how it is impacting ordinary people in South Africa. We talk about how to reduce the risks of contracting the virus, the symptoms, testing and treatment. The dangers of drug resistant TB, common myths and the link between HIV / Aids and TB are also all discussed.
This is a half day course with group discussions, a presentation and a learner workbook for every learner and a training DVD.
